Michael received his B.A. in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University in 2015. As an undergraduate he worked on computational research in condensed matter theory and molecular evolution, as well as experimental laser spectroscopy. After college, he worked at Bridgewater Associates in markets research and engineering. While working there, he became increasingly interested in neurobiology as well as modeling complex systems. Since Fall of 2019, he is a graduate student in Dynamical Neuroscience at UCSB working with Matthieu Louis and Jean Carlson.
