Dylan Martins

Biography

Dylan received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon. He previously studied the assembly of intestinal microbe communities in the larval zebrafish gut with Dr. Raghuveer Parthasarathy, and mouse visual processing during natural eye and head movements with Dr. Cristopher Niell. Dylan joined Dr. Michael Goard’s lab in 2022 through the Dynamical Neuroscience program.

Research

Using mice as a model organism, Dylan studies the circuits in cortex that process visual information and incorporate these inputs into cognitive spatial maps that enable navigation.
