Santiago Acosta

Biography

Santi graduated from Polytechnic University of Catalonia with a degree in Engineering Physics, and joined the Goard Lab in 2021. While in Barcelona, Santi worked at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) investigating how Down syndrome affects the morphology of neurons. He is fascinated by how neurons can collectively integrate and store information. More specifically, he aims to investigate how sensory inputs are transformed into the neural code that ultimately leads to spatial cognition.
